Chris Rye

Chris has a professional background in Architecture, having started his career in 1989 as a trainee Technician for a well-respected architectural practice in his home city of Leeds. Having lived and worked in and around the city during the 90’s and following a 6 month sabbatical to explore further regions of the world, as far as New Zealand, he settled down in Staffordshire to be near his wife’s family roots. Chris’s career continued and he began to work more in the residential sector, specialising in independent living with care. In 2024 Chris opted for a slight change of direction and with a view to utilising his extensive knowledge and experience he joined the Butters John Bee Land & Development Team. Chris lives in Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent, with his wife, two children and Cooper the Clumber Spaniel. His hobbies include throwing paint around to create pretty pictures as well as being an avid armchair supporter of his beloved Leeds Utd, even when they are ‘falling apart again’.
