Paul is a Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years experience in commercial property & development and heads up the Land & Development Team. Paul grew up in Stoke-on-Trent where he started his career as a Trainee Survey with Stoke City Council and British Coal before moving into Commercial Agency with Louis Taylor. In 1992 Paul joined what was then Butters Chartered Surveyors in the their head office in Trinity Street, Hanley, however it wasn’t long before Paul was attracted to the bright lights of the “big smoke” and worked in central London for 5 years. Paul became head of Residential Land at DTZ in Birmingham (now part of Cushman & Wakefield) before a family move took him to Northern Ireland where he worked in Belfast advising the Stormont Assembly on strategic land disposals. In 2017 Paul did a full circle and returned to what is now Butters John Bee an set up the Land & Development Team. Paul lives in Stone with his family, and when not advising clients on land matters, you’ll find him in his garage tinkering with his classics cars or in a local hostelry enjoying a pint of real ale.
